Hot Wheels launches first remote-controlled wheelchair toy in partnership with Paralympian
Hot Wheels has launched the first-ever remote-controlled wheelchair game, in an initiative to support children who use wheelchairs, in collaboration with Aaron Fotheringham, the five-time world champion in extreme wheelchair sports.

Fotheringham, who was born with spina bifida and has been using a wheelchair since the age of eight, is known for performing elaborate tricks and performing backwards flips in his wheelchair.

The game, which is sold by toy maker Mattel on Amazon, is designed to mimic the movements of a custom-built Fotheringham wheelchair with a remote control, and comes with a ramp so users can perform tricks as Fotheringham does.

At the game's launch event, Fotheringham told CNN: "I've seen children, including those in wheelchairs, enjoying a game that gives you freedom of imagination."
