Instagram is taking a new step forward by achieving a feat that only a few have reached, as it has managed to exceed two billion monthly active users, according to the latest reports.
Although the company did not disclose this achievement due to the fluctuations experienced by the parent company, Meta, CNBC sources indicated that this huge number has been reached, according to leaks by one of the employees.
Since announcing that the number of monthly active users exceeded one billion in 2018, Instagram has not officially mentioned its number of users again. But the source of the news indicated that the number of users exceeded two billion about a week before Facebook changed its name to Meta, which means that the number may have increased a little now.
This achievement marks a milestone for Instagram, the company trying to clamp down on Tik Tok, the app that crossed 1 billion monthly active users in September but is experiencing explosive growth in a very short period of time.
