The focus is on Copilot for PCs, as Microsoft made advanced search in Windows easier through its AI-powered assistant, added the Click to Do feature, improved Recall (for reminding users of past activities), and highlighted new customizable keyboard shortcuts along with other Copilot enhancements.
With the 25H2 update, the taskbar in Windows now offers better support for resizing icons, expanded previews, a customizable clock with seconds, and new features for improved file indexing.
Windows also now supports multiple dashboards, lock screen customization, and a redesigned Discover feed featuring Copilot-generated stories. Users can also personalize widgets and access summaries, videos, and images from trusted sources.
Other additions include:
· Personalized displays for Microsoft 365 content
· Dividers in context menus
· New sharing options for Android devices
· The ability to delay backup reminders
· Restoring previous tabs
· Opening Live Persona cards when signing in with Entra ID
A quick system recovery feature has been added via WinRE, allowing automatic troubleshooting and fixing of startup issues. The updated BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) interface now makes it easier to read and understand the cause of crashes.
Microsoft also noted that the update includes many bug fixes that were affecting Windows performance, along with security patches to better protect computer data and software.
