Google Chrome will stop working permanently on millions of computers next week

The company said that computers running the old Windows operating system will not get updates after January 10.

Google's Chrome Support Manager explains: "Chrome 109 is the latest version of Chrome that will support Windows 7, Windows 8 and 8.1 (Windows 8 / 8.1). "You'll need to make sure your device is running Windows 10 or later to continue receiving future Chrome releases."
