The technology giant DJI has announced new models of drones that are capable of operating in the most severe weather conditions.
According to DJI, its two new models of Matrice 30 aircraft are designed to provide services that civilian drones cannot provide, as they will be used by rescue agencies and geological survey institutions as they are equipped with advanced technologies and have the ability to operate in harsh weather conditions.
The Matrice 30 aircraft are protected against water and dust according to IP55 standards, and can operate at high altitudes, in snow or heavy rain, and in temperatures ranging from minus 20 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius.
The Matrice 30 got 3 cameras, a primary camera equipped with a 48-megapixel lens, and a 12-megapixel camera with a 16x zoom ability, and the ability to document 8K videos and document 4K videos at 30 frames per second, and the third camera in Full HD is used to guide the plane during flight.
The Matrice 30 and M30T aircraft have laser rangefinders, while the second model features a thermal camera that helps control the aircraft at night.
