Are flying taxis about to become a reality?
NASA is testing Joby Airlines' VTOL electric planes, in a move to make flying taxis a reality of the future. The test started on August 30, and will continue until September 10, 2021.

The test aims to discover loopholes that violate the rules of the Federal Aviation Administration, and to ensure the agency's readiness to rent/use taxi planes, along with delivery drones, and other aircraft, according to the "In Gadget" website.

The data from the test will help with a whole host of other tests that will take place in 2022, including more complex flight situations.

It should be noted that Joby had acquired Uber's air taxi program, in addition to an investment of $394 million from Toyota a short time ago.
