Michael Jackson's Iconic Leather Jacket Sells For $300,000 At Auction

A black and white leather jacket worn by the late star Michael Jackson in a commercial in 1984 has been sold. The jacket's price is estimated at $306,000.

Jackson's jacket was expected to sell for $488,000, while Michael's price guide expected it to reach $73,000.

Auction Company Propstore listed the jacket among items associated with other music legends such as Amy Winehouse, George Michael, The Beatles, David Bowie and Elvis.

At the same auction, the leather jacket and jeans that George Michael wore in the video “I Knew You Were Waiting for Me (For Me)” with Aretha Franklin were sold for $115,000.

A lock of hair worn by star Amy Winehouse while filming a video clip entitled “You Know I'm No Good” was sold for about $23,000.

In another auction, a crystal-encrusted glove worn by the King of Pop during the Jackson Victory Tour in 1984 was sold for $190,000 at auction. It is said that Kim Kardashian spent more than $65,000 in 2019 to obtain a jacket that the late singer appeared in in the video for the song “Thriller.” As a Christmas gift for her daughter.
