A major collapse threatens Twitter during the World Cup.. A former employee warns!

The repercussions of the recent decisions taken by the new owner of Twitter, the American billionaire Elon Musk, continue, but this time it came in the form of a warning coinciding with the launch of the largest football event in Qatar.

Insiders from the company confirmed that the blue bird is facing the possibility of facing a major collapse during the World Cup, explaining that the social media giant is not equipped to deal with traffic surges, especially after the recent measures imposed by Elon Musk.

A former employee who recently left the company, who is aware of how it responds to such large-scale events, confirmed that Twitter could face a major outage that would take the site down during the World Cup.

He also added, on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the details, that he knows exactly how the Twitter Command Center works, stressing that the platform team is aware of malfunctions that they monitored recently in search of problems such as traffic pressure on the site and outages in the data center connection. He added that the World Cup would be difficult on the podium amid a lack of preparation and a shortage of staff, according to a report by the Guardian newspaper.

The employee indicated that incidents such as slow or incorrect response or incomplete service are almost certain during the 29-day competition in Qatar, estimating the probability of such errors occurring at 90%.

He explained that the platform may suffer from difficulty in use, and may be disrupted with the launch scheduled for today.

It is noteworthy that since he bought “Twitter” late last month, for $ 44 billion, after many months of tension and attraction, the richest people in the world moved quickly to put his mark on the company, and made several amendments, as he announced his intention to impose a price in exchange for the blue mark, in addition to preventing him from impersonating. Characters even as a joke without advertising it.

In addition, Musk fired thousands of employees, while others also resigned. He also sent a warning in his first official mail to the company's employees, stressing that it might declare bankruptcy, which left thousands of employees in a state of astonishment, and also shook the advertisers, a number of whom were suspended. Basically, more than a week ago, they announced their ads on the platform, amid confusion and ambiguity surrounding the fate of the blue bird, since the American billionaire promised to free it.

These measures also weakened the platform's ability to respond to any problems related to its IT infrastructure, especially since some of those affected by layoffs or staff reduction include those in the Twitter Command Center.

According to information, about a third of the accident team may have left the platform in recent weeks.

As for Musk, he did not respond to a request for comment, but only tweeted last Friday, inviting users to watch the first match in the World Cup.

"Watch on Twitter... and get the best coverage and comment," he said.
