A Chinese robotic ship has successfully completed its maiden voyage after being designed to be able to navigate without human personnel.
This was reported by the Chinese newspaper, "The People", today, Thursday, noting that the ship completed its first voyage, last Tuesday.
The vessel conducted its voyage at a speed of up to 20 knots and was confirmed to be able to navigate in accordance with maritime safety procedures.
The newspaper published a picture of the robotic ship that can operate on sea tracks independently and weighs up to 100 tons.
