Dubai will host the first edition of the World Expo in the Middle East, the third largest global event in terms of economic and cultural impact. The activities of this global event will be launched in the Jebel Ali region, south of Dubai, during the period from the beginning of next October, until the end of March 2022, after it was scheduled for last year, but the restrictions imposed by the Corona pandemic prevented this.
UAE has completed all its preparations to receive the works of Expo 2020 Dubai, by putting the final touches on the site of hosting the World Expo.
There are only a few days left until the World Exhibition opens its arena for everyone, with 192 countries participating in its work, while 25 million tourists are expected to participate.
1- The construction of the Expo 2020 metro station with the design of the aircraft wing to transport passengers to the entrance to the World Expo, and it can accommodate 29,000 people per hour during peak hours.
2- More than 100 robots built in China will welcome visitors, serve food, help with directions and take photos.
3- More than 30,000 volunteers have registered to help in Expo 2020 Dubai; Emiratis make up 61% of all people between the ages of 18 and 24.
4- Each country participating in Expo 2020 Dubai will be able to celebrate its own national day - or a day of honor - during the six-month event; the celebrations will take place at Al Wasl Plaza.
5- Everyone who travels to Dubai with Emirates during Expo 2020, between October 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022, will receive a free entry ticket to Expo 2020 Dubai.
6- A shaded area at Expo 2020 Dubai called Ghaf Street named after the traditional trees that grow in the UAE desert and provide home to many insects and mammals.
7- Expo 2020 Dubai will host the World Chess Championship in November.
8- Vaccination against Covid-19 is not mandatory for visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai, but it is recommended.
9- Valentine's Day, Halloween, Arabic Language Day, International Poetry Day and Mother's Day will be celebrated at Expo 2020 Dubai, where the events will be held in a specially built amphitheater.
10- The golden jubilee of the UAE will be celebrated, which will take place over a month, and start in early November.
Expo Dubai called on everyone to join the international event, which will contribute to creating a new world and achieving communication between people over a period of six months that represents a celebration of creativity, innovation, human progress and culture.
