Before you travel, you should apply sunscreen to your skin for this reason

Dermatologists advise using sunscreen creams as soon as you go outside, especially on days when the sun shines the most.

The importance of these creams lies in their ability to provide the necessary protection from ultraviolet radiation, so it is recommended to keep using them on a daily basis, whether you go out of the house or not.

Also, experts recommend putting sunscreen on our skin while on a plane, and they stress that skin is particularly vulnerable to sun damage, premature aging as well as cancer at higher altitudes where the ozone layer is thinner, which is something to watch out for.

In the context, facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Jamie DeRosa, residing in Massachusetts, emphasized the need for extreme attention to sun protection when in the air.

He explained that the atmosphere helps to disperse harmful ultraviolet rays, so the thinner the atmosphere, the less this protection, and the stronger the ultraviolet radiation.

Dermatologists recommend using a face cream with a protection factor of at least SPF 30 when traveling, and it is preferable that travelers bring a travel-friendly type of packaging in order to use it on areas that are most exposed to ultraviolet radiation, namely the face, ears, neck, hands, and more.

Doctors also recommend wearing long-sleeved protective clothing and closing window coverings as much as possible, while also taking care to apply sunscreen before take-off.
