An image that could trap you … Tips from Tik Tok!
Did you know that when you send a photo from your iPhone you may give the recipient access to all data about that photo including your location that can be used to track you?

CybersecurityGirl, a TikTok user with nearly 200,000 followers, has just posted an easy tip to clean data from your picture messages.

simple steps

To apply the trick, it asks you to take a photo and go to the photo library, then you have to click on the box in the lower left corner to start the sending process.

Then click on the little blue text that says "Options" in the upper left corner below the white text that reads "One photo selected."

From the options menu on the screen where users can select the amount of metadata attached to the image message, simply click on "Single Image" to unlink your site from it.

This trick can change your default settings and should be applied to every picture message.

It is worth noting that cleaning metadata is important in telecommunications, and failure to do so can lead to embarrassing or jeopardizing situations.

For example, when former US President Donald Trump was hospitalized after contracting the emerging coronavirus, the White House published a series of photos intended to show him working over several hours or days.

When the journalists clicked on the photos' metadata, it turned out that it was part of a 10-minute photo session.

The bottom line is that it is important to know when and how your image transmits your site to other users, and to implement security rules to relieve yourself of any situations that may be annoying to you.
