The Egyptian National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research has published a stunning image of the sun, which it describes as one of the most detailed solar images to date, as it reveals the warped "surface" of our sun.
 
 
 
The sun is the central star of the solar system, and it is one of the stars of the galaxy, the Milky Way, where our galaxy itself follows a group of other galaxies called the Local Group, and it is considered spherical and its diameter is equivalent to 109 times the diameter of the Earth. The rest is mostly helium with 1.69% of the heavier elements including oxygen, carbon, neon, iron and other elements. Sunlight is the main source of energy on Earth.
